Thursday morning we woke up and continued our drive to the state of Idaho. Washington turned very barren and flat quickly. Its 50 degrees now. We stopped the other day and got some Buffalo Jerky, it wasn’t bad. I think the jerky recipe could have been better, but just tasted like meat to me. Luke is still set on trying buffalo burger. Just a point of observation, I have seen many horses lying down, I thought horses slept standing up. So, either horses sleep lying down, or I have seen a lot of dead horses. The land out here in Washington, California, Oregon and of course all those hot dry southern states is dry and desert like until you come to farmed sections that all have sprinkler systems and they are a vibrant green. It appears that you cannot grow anything here without huge sprinkler systems. The green sections are huge circles….Makes me think of those scary movies where the UFO’s made the circles. They grow a lot of hay, and you see it bailed and laying out in the field. We did see some stacked Hay that they were watering. Maybe the hay can get so dry it can catch fire, I don’t know. It’s now 4:15 and we have passed thru the panhandle of Idaho and are now in the beautiful state of Montana. This is the state I have wanted to see the most. We are going to drive until we arrive at Yellowstone tonight. It may be 10:00 when we get there. The LORD has blessed us again; they are opening all the roads tomorrow. We were worried about the timing, but all is good. We stopped a little while back at Wal-mart and stocked up. I am not sure how many days we will be at Yellowstone, and I am sure I will not have phone or internet. One last note, It is 7:15 pm and every open valley we pass there are hundreds of deer, I have never seen so many in my life. Amazing…Until then….
