Our first stop- the gateway to the west.
First, we threw in a picture of the boys taking care of a necessary evil, it is a little more sanitary to do on the road.
The arch structure had an elevator tram system that took up to five medium sized people or a mixed family of six people in each “pod” all the way to the top of the 630 foot tall structure (there were five on each side of the arch).
Adriana was not a big fan of the whole experience and Toni was not very fond of the swaying that the building did at the top. The view was amazing and it was surprising how small the rv looked from that high.
The river looked like it had flooded recently and was in the process of receding, Toni had some fun with the pictures there.
We left the Archway to drive the rest of the day through the rest of the otherwise very uneventful state of Missouri; it seemed to go on forever. There was a great army surplus store on the way that we found a nice army gas can for our Death Valley fuel reserves. We finally entered Oklahoma to find more of the same only with less roadside stands and shops to look at. We stopped, ate dinner, and checked out the local Wal-Mart, after which we used the RV shower for the first time. It worked great and we had plenty of hot water for a quick shower for everyone, nice. We are driving late to get to Bro Vineyards church in OK city so we can wake up in that area and not have to rush, GPS says 0030 so that should be about 2 am RV speed. It will be like sleeping in after last nights all night push to get to MO so we are pretty excited about that.
Until tomorrow
