Yosemite

Thurs Morn we arrived in Yosemite National Park. We had a leisurely day of sightseeing and headed to our campsite at about 3:00. We were right next to a river and the woods were full of birds. We cooked some real food. We had Steak, Chicken and Smores. We all went to bed early; the boys are hiking to the top of Yosemite Falls tomorrow. It is a 2700 foot ascent, 60 switchbacks, and roundtrip is about 8 miles. The boys looked really worn out when they were done, and Randy said it was the most grueling hike he has ever done, but the views at the top were breathtaking, they rivaled The Grand Canyon. The boys started @ 7:30 and were back @ 3:00. The girls and I spent the day taking Tours and picnicking in the Valley Village. We promptly headed out of the park before the weekend rush. We are headed to one of our favorite camping spots for the night enroute to Lassen Volcanic National Park tomorrow morning and onto Redwood National Park in the afternoon and evening. After that we are headed into Oregon and there seems to be a large stretch of nothing so I may not post again until Monday or so. Lots of Love, wish you all were here with us.
