Mon Night was the worst night so far. We had to stop in and camp at a McDonalds in Texas because we were tired and had no info on anything better. There was a train Track very close to where we were parked and several trains came thru the town that night and they sound their horn once they are entering the town, but they have to honk at least 15 times, we think it is a state law or something. Horrible, and to top it off we awoke to the start of road construction which seemed to be right next to us so we got up and got out of that town pronto….Our Destination was our first National Park, Great Sand Dunes. The Boys made it to the top of an 800 foot dune, which was quite a feat. There was a beautiful mountainous background and a gentle stream running through the park. We enjoyed the hiking and the scenery. Faith had an encounter with a muddy creek bed, but it altogether it was a good day.
